When out for a scrub, I blackened the lower, or forward, covered prism sides so as to enhance brightness and contrast. A custom touch. Lubed the focus controls for ease of use. Hardened old grease is typical of old optics.
Not sure what happened to the usual pebble grained vinyl skin on this one. Could've been left on the hot dash of a car in the sun. Doesn't effect functioning at all.
Views are now crisp, clear, and stunningly wide! Most have never used such wide angle binoculars and are I. For a great treat! We hear, OMG! from folks who try them at flea markets.
