This is a complete Panasonic CD player SL-CT490.
The unit has been tested with batteries (2 x AA batteries) and is in working order.
It also worked with the AC adapter.
The remote control allowed for playback, stop, and other button operations.
The earphones are a bonus.
The battery compartment is clean and free of rust.
* The external adapter for AAA batteries did not work.
