Stunning chunky blown glass ashtray or Catchall from Mid- Century Era. I have collected ashtrays for many years and this one is one of my favorite pieces.
The ashtray is 9”D. It has a ruffled rim with 4 very dramatic butt rests. The O in the center is 2”D and the pronounced rim is 1”W. The pattern is a sunburst and appropriately so!
Wt is 3 lbs. 4 oz.
There is an air bubble about 1” from the inner circle line. Of course this was done during the making and to those who love all glass it is more of a freckle than an imperfection.
